William (Bill) Meier

William (Bill) Meier is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Attorney in the field of Law as a Retired Judge and Attorney.

Leading an impressive career for 47 years, Mr. Meier has had many career accomplishments. He attributes his success to his love for the law. He practiced law in Dallas and Tarrant Counties from 1966 to 1969. His areas of expertise include business litigation and land and property matters.

From 1973 to 1982, Mr. Meier served for the Texas Senate. He then served as an appellate judge for ten years for the 2nd Court Of Appeals Of Texas. In March of 2008, he won a three-candidate republican primary, being elected to the court in an unopposed general election. In 2014, he won again.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Meier attended Tarleton State College and the University of Texas for undergraduate studies. He went on to earn a legal degree from the University of Texas Law School in 1996. He remains aware of changes in his field by maintaining affiliations with the Tarrant Bar Association.

As a testament to his success, the Tarrant County Bar Association awarded Mr. Meier the Silver Gavel Award in 2018.

Now retired, Mr. Meier remains an active member of his community. He is always seeking continued growth and success for his family. He has two children.
