James S. Brady

James S. Brady is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Attorney for his outstanding contributions in the field of Law in recognition of his outstanding service as Managing Member and Senior Counsel at Dykema.

Dykema has been offering their clients legal services for the past eighty-five years. They currently offer services in the areas of business services, environmental law, government policy and practice, immigration, labor and employment, real estate, taxation and much more. Providing services nationally, they have strategically placed their locations in Michigan, Illinois, Washington, D.C., Texas, California, and Minnesota. With over thirteen locations, the firm strives to build a relationship with their clients built on trust and support.

Mr. Brady has over forty-nine years of experience in the field of law. He has served in his current capacity with Dykema for the past six years. Throughout his career, Mr. Brady has attained expertise within the areas of commercial litigation and white collar crime as well as government investigations and corporate compliance issues. He has had a successful career, previously serving as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan for four years.

In recognition of his professional achievements, Mr. Brady was recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” in Grand Rapids for Criminal Defense - Non-White-Collar by Best Lawyers® for 2015. He was honored as a Michigan Leading Lawyer in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense: White Collar Law by the Leading Lawyers Network from 2014-2016. The recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from Western Michigan University and 2015 the Marion Hilligan Award from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School, Mr. Brady has gained consecutive recognition by Michigan Super Lawyers and the Best Lawyers in America.

A man who has had a lifetime of accomplishments, Mr. Brady began his educational pursuits with an undergraduate degree in political science, history, and education from Western Michigan University. Thereafter, Mr. Brady went onto attain a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame.

In an effort to further enhance his professional development, Mr. Brady is a distinguished fellow of several elite organizations including the Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan Judicial Crossroads Task Force, Grand Rapids Bar Association, American Association for Justice, National Association of Former United States Attorneys, Michigan Association for Justice and the American Inns of Court. In his previous years, Mr. Brady served on the Board of Directors for the Western Michigan University Foundation.

Brady dedicates this recognition to his wife, Catherine. Thank you for your love and support. Mr. Brady also dedicates this recognition in loving memory of Robert A. Benson and Edward L. Twohey who supported him after law school.
