Brentford J. Ferreira

Brentford J. Ferreira is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who in the field of Law as a Top Attorney in acknowledgment of his role as an Attorney at his private firm, Brentford J. Ferreira.

Located on East 2nd Street, Mr. Brentford’s private practice offers legal services to the Los Angeles area. Practicing law since 1984, Mr. Brentford has extensive knowledge of criminal law procedures. He has thirty-five years of experience litigating felony trials and has submitted hundreds of writs. Experienced locally and nationally, he has presented appeals to federal, state, and U.S. Supreme Court judges.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Mr. Brenton works as a Special Counsel and Adjunct Professor at Loyola Project for the Innocent. Previously, he served as the Deputy District Attorney. As the head of the habeas corpus unit, he represented numerous inmates who were wrongfully convicted. He remained in this position for over a decade.

An academic scholar, Mr. Brentford attended the Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Arts. Furthering his education, he received a Juris Doctorate at Loyola School of Law.

Mr. Brentford is affiliated with several organizations, including the California State Bar Association and State Bar of California. He currently serves as the Chairman for the California District Attorney Association.

Author of the California Criminal Jury Instruction Handbook in 2015, Mr. Brentford has had countless career accomplishments. In 2012, the Criminal Courts Bar Association awarded him the Johnnie Cochran Ethics Award on account of his representation that led to the release of an innocent, incarcerated man who had been imprisoned for twenty years for a murder that he did not commit.
