Keith E. Meredith, PhD

Keith E. Meredith, Ph.D is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever for his work as a Gerontologist and Director of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at the University of Arizona.

An accomplished Gerontologist, Dr. Meredith celebrates an illustrious career of over 30 years in this field. He served in a multitude of leadership and teaching positions throughout his career, retiring in 1999 as the Director of Gerontological Studies at the University of Arizona. Dr. Meredith held a number of positions within the school including Adjunct Professor, Research Associate, and Associate Director of the Arizona Center for Aging, affirming his adaptable nature and indisputable dedication to the study of Gerontology. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 professional journal articles on the topic of Gerontology and has contributed as an investigator over 40 grants. Dr. Meredith is associated with OASIS and the Arizona State Retirement Systems. Dr. Meredith began his career as a student at Kansas State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1965. Continuing his studies at Kansas State University, Dr. Meredith earned his Master of Science in 1968. He concluded his education at the University of Arizona, earning his Doctor of Philosophy.

In commemoration of a remarkable career, Dr. Meredith has collected multiple accolades and honors. Most notably, he received a Research Award from the Association for Specialists in Group Work, a Meritorious Performance in Teaching Award from the University of Arizona Foundation, and a Volunteer of the Year Award from the United Way of Greater Tucson where he once served as a Chair for the organization. Dr. Meredith was also awarded the esteemed Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Meredith dedicates this recognition to his mentors, Dr. Strumenberd, Dr. Sabers and Dr. Dinham. He also recognizes his wife Margaret Rose Meek and his three sons, Kurt, Mark, and Scott.
