Eldon J. Brunner

Eldon J. Brunner is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Nuclear Power and Engineering as a result of his role as a Nuclear Engineer (retired). Eldon specialized in all aspects of nuclear power and engineering such as the development of flight simulators used for pilot training.

He started as a flight instructor and charter pilot and then became a Research Assistant for the U.S. Army. With that position, Eldon worked hard to develop flight training methods for reducing airplane and helicopter training time. He then gained a position as Supervisor/ Manager of the Aircraft Nuclear Power facility where he supervised, oversaw, and managed all general operations.  Upon holding several positions within the engineering field, Eldon’s most recent position was Branch Chief for AEC (later became Nuclear Regulatory Commission), in which he was in charge of utility inspections of the testing of 1000 MW Power reactors. Later on, he was placed in charge as the Project Branch Chief of all Power Reactors in Region 1 from 1972 – 1983, retiring in 1983.

In addition, Eldon is the author of a B-58 pilot and navigation flights simulation design specifications manual. He was a member of the American Nuclear Society and holds a Master's degree from the University of Illinois.
