Professor Linda R. Wymer is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as an Outstanding Professional in the field of Education. Linda is the Chairperson of Freshman Studies and Assistant Professor of English at the University of the Virgin Islands.

Linda has over thirty four years of experience in education and currently focuses on teaching integrated reading and writing in the humanities and social sciences, grant writing, textbook reviews, and she has also coordinated a territorial after-school mentoring program. In addition, Linda works with in-service teaching for public schools, designing and implementing tutorials for public school teachers for PRAXIS I and II certification. She is the Disaster Chairperson for St. Thomas, VI, and is a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Services, International Reading Association, Specialized Reading Professionals, and the Office of the Governor Mentorship Program.
Throughout the course of her education, Linda earned a Master’s degree and an educational specialist degree in supervision and administration from the University of Hartford.
