Dr. Shyamali Mukherjee

Dr. Shyamali Mukherjee is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Higher Medical Education. Dr. Mukherjee is an Associate Professor at Meharry Medical College. Meharry Medical College is one of the nation's oldest and largest historically black academic health science centers dedicated to educating physicians, dentists, researchers, and health policy experts. Today, Meharry includes a medical school, dental school, and a graduate school. It is home to the Robert Wood Johnson Center for Health Policy. The degrees include Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Master of Science in Public  Health (M.S.P.H.), Master of Science (M.S.), and Doctor  of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. As Associate Professor, Dr. Mukherjee specializes in Pharmacology, Research Toxicology, Biology, and more. She has multiple published works under her belt, and has many awards and honors as well. Shyamali has received honors such as Round Table Member at Madison Who’s Who, 2011, Outstanding Member with Madison Who’s Who, 2010, and Lifetime Member, Madison Who’s Who, 2008. She also serves as a Board Member for the Science   Advisory Board.  In addition, Shyamali is a member of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine, the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the American Association of Advancement of Science, New York Academic Science, and the Physiological Society of India.  Throughout her educational career, she earned a Ph. D. in Lipid Chemistry of Vertebrate Gonad from the Bose Institute, an M.Sc., in Physiology from the University of Calcutta, and a B.Sc. Hons in Physiology, Chemistry, Zoology, Physiology from Victoria College.
