Joy S. Schneck MM, MT-BC is recognized by Continental Who’s Who in the field of Music Therapy as a result of her role as an Executive Director with the Certification Board for Music Therapists. Music therapy is the specialized use of music by a credentialed professional who develops individualized treatment and supportive interventions for people of all ages and ability levels to address their social, communication, emotional, physical, cognitive, sensory and spiritual needs. The Certification Board for Music Therapists is the only organization to certify music therapists to practice music therapy nationally. In her current position with the Certification Board for Music Therapists, Joy specializes in Clinical Music Therapy; Association Administration; Public Relations; Public Speaking; Healthcare; Nonprofits; Mental Health; Program Development; Autism Spectrum Disorders; Developmental Disabilities; and Community Outreach. Joy earned her Master’s in Music Therapy from Catholic University and is presently a member of the American  Society for Association Executives; American Music Therapy Association; Institute for Credentialing Excellence; and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
