Cathy Groulx

Cathy Groulx is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional as a result of her role as a Self-Employed Artist based out of Ontario, Canada. Cathy has over 27 years of experience painting, using traditional oils on canvas and painting commissions from photo references. Cathy exhibits regularly in Galleries, juried shows and various other venues, primarily in Ontario Canada. Her work has been featured in Galleries in France, The USA and Denmark. In addition, Cathy served as the Curator of an Exhibition of seven artists’ work, including her own. In this position, Cathy traveled to The Netherlands in 2009 to represent Canada. Throughout her career, Cathy has had 31 solo exhibitions and has participated in over 260 group shows. As a result of her artistic talent, Cathy has won numerous awards including several public choice and juried awards. She has won the Oil Springs Poster Contest, 3rd Place (2007); Award of Merit Jurors Award, Paint Ontario (2007); Desmond Juried Show 3rd Place Jurors Award (2006); Norfolk Artsco Juried Show, Jurors Choice, First Place Award (2006); as well as the Public Choice Award at the Woodstock Art Gallery Annual Juried Exhibition (2004, 1999, 1996, 1994). Looking to pursue her artistic education, Cathy has participated in an Artist-Educator Foundation Course and has completed a Commercial Art Illustration and Design Course in Westport, Connecticut. Cathy is presently an honored member of the Ontario Society of Artists; The Woodstock Art Gallery Art Gallery Advisory Committee; The Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre; and Norfolk Artsco.
