Dr. Francis Palumbo, M.D.

Dr. Francis Palumbo, M.D. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Medicine as a result of his role as a Pediatrician with Spring Valley Pediatrics. An integral part of the Spring Valley Pediatrics staff, Dr. Palumbo is dedicated to providing excellence in all aspects of infant, child, adolescent and young adult medical care. His scope of practice extends from prenatal visits and newborn hospital check-ups, to comprehensive medical care for children and young adults. Dr. Palumbo is consistently accessible to his patients, taking pride in his availability twenty-four hours a day every day throughout the year. In addition, he makes himself available for telephone contact throughout daily office hours and is available to his patients and their families each weekday morning on a “doctor’s call-in time.”  

Throughout his career in the medical profession, Dr. Palumbo served as the Director of Georgetown’s Children & Youth Ambulatory Service ten years. He presently maintains his connection to Georgetown in his role as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics. His involvement in the Medical field has also included a position appearing before Congress as an Expert Child Advocate on the Task Force of Children and Television.

As a direct result of his professionalism and commitment to the field of Pediatric Medicine, Dr. Palumbo has been honored with both an Outstanding Community Service Award from Georgetown University (2010), as well as a Top Doctor Listing in Washingtonian Magazine (2010). Dr. Palumbo earned his M.D. and B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University where he also completed his Residency in Pediatrics. He is presently a member  of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
