Cheryl G. Souders is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional among Government Systems Engineers. Cheryl is a Chief Systems Engineer for Weather with the Federal Aviation Administration.In her current role, Cheryl focuses on the systems engineering of the National Airspace System Weather Services, where she specializes in writing concepts of operations, performing functional analysis, developing requirements and defining system interfaces. She is a member of the International Council of Systems
Engineers, American Meteorological Society, and the Air Traffic Controllers Association. Cheryl is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and completed her M.S. in Meteorology at Naval Post Graduate School. In addition, Cheryl also holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Chemistry from Coe College, as well as a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of Utah.
Cheryl is a co-author of FAA System Engineering Manual and lead author on papers for the American Meteorological Society's International Conference on Aviation, Range and Aerospace on the Next Generation Air Transportation System (Next Gen) Weather Concept of Operations and NextGen Weather Requirements, as well as Lead author on numerous papers on the National Airspace System Enterprise Architecture Weather Roadmap.
