David R. Janecky, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional among Scientific Researchers. David is a Group Leader with Los Alamos National Laboratory. In his current role, David specializes in Geosciences as well as Technical Management. In addition, David has served on numerous advisory boards and review committees as well as being a Post Doctoral Scholar sponsor at LANL and a committee member for several Ph.D. students. Furthermore, David is a member of the American Geophysical Union; Geochemical Society; American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); Fellow, Society for Economic Geology; The Oceanography Society; Norsk Geologisk Forening(Geological Society of Norway); as well as the Order of the Golden Bear, University of California. David earned his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis and also holds an A.B. in Geology from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, he attended the UC Education Abroad Program in Geology at the University of Bergen, Norway. In his spare time, he enjoys Skiing; Fly-Fishing; and Mountain Climbing.
