Jerry W. Froelich, a professional in his field for 35 years and running, acts as the Professor of Radiology, Radiological Physics & Medicine at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Radiology. He specializes in Oncological imaging, which is the study of cancerous matter in the body. A particularly unique trait of Dr. Froelich is his ability to speak several languages, including ASL (American Sign Language), which uniquely equips him to teach and treat a greater range of patients with accuracy.
In his attendance at West Virginia University, Dr. Froelich earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He went on to complete his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as his first fellowship in Nuclear Medicine. Finally, he completed another residency in Radiology with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Froelich is certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and the American Board of Radiology with Special Competency in Nuclear Radiology.
Dr. Froelich is currently the Chairman of the MARI Accreditation Program with the American College of Radiology. He is a member of the ACR Taskforce on MRI Safety, the ACR MRI Accreditation Program Commission on Quality and Safety, The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Computer Society, the American College of Physicians, and the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. Furthermore, he is affiliated with the Commission on Quality and Safety, the ACR Guideline and Standards Committee (Body MRI), Commission on Neuroradiology and Magnet Resonance and the American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics (formerly the Society for Computer Medicine).
