George Rountree III is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Law in recognition of his role as Special Counsel at Rountree Losee LLP

Founded in 1896 by Judge George Rountree, and the grandfather of current special counsel, George Rountree III., George Rountree, Jr. joined his father in the practice of law in 1928 and continued the tradition for more than fifty years. With integrity, responsiveness, and excellence at the forefront of the company’s values, the firm prides itself on its high quality legal services.

With over fifty eight years of experience in the field of law under his belt, George Rountree has established himself as a prominent professional within the field. A distinguished scholar knows for exceptional work ethic and rapport with his clients, Rountree has attained extensive expertise in all facets of law. Since 2016, he has assumed the role of Special Counsel, advising clients in all areas of the firms practice, including counseling the firm’s attorneys, and helping to advance the firms key priorities, including business and professional development.

Early in his career, Rountree received his LLD from the University Of Arizona College Of Law in 1960. In his previous years, Rountree attained his Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude from the University of Arizona in 1955.

In an effort to further enhance his professional development, Rountree is an esteemed member of several organizations including the Arizona State Bar, North Carolina State Bar, U.S. District Court Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In recognition of his professional accolades, Rountree was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, since 1995. Additionally, he was inducted into the North Carolina Bar Association General Practice Hall of Fame in 2004, The Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame in 2009, and UNC-Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Rountree was also the recipient of the John B. McMillan Distinguished Service Award from North Carolina Bar Association in 2011 and received the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV.
