Trudi L. Brown, Q.C., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Law in recognition of her contributions as Founding Partner & Lawyer at Brown Henderson Melbye Law Firm. A comprehensive family law firm, Brown Henderson Melbye specializes in various facets of family law including Parenting Issues, Child Support, Child Protection, Family Safety, Child Interviews, Collaborative Law, Property Division, Spousal Support, Divorce, Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation and more. Amassing over thirty years of experience in the field of Law, Brown is the Founding Partner and Lawyer at the Brown Henderson Melbye Law Firm. In this capacity, Brown specializes in various facets of law including, family law, arbitration and meditation. As a result of her outstanding work in her role, Brown was one of the first lawyers in Victoria to embrace collaborative law. As a sought after and renowned speaker, Brown has held the prestigious role as presenter and Master of Ceremonies of various programs in the legal community. Throughout the course of her education and training, prior to her enrollment at the University of British Columbia, Brown graduated from Prince Wales Secondary School. Later, she attained both her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of British Columbia. To further her professional development, Brown is a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, the Canadian Bar Association, the British Columbia ‘Hear the Child’ Society, the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, and sits as Co-Chair of the National Family Law Program. A member of the British Columbia Bar in 1974, Brown has served the British Columbia Crown Council for over four years. Brown serves as a Board Member at BCLC, and acts in the capacity of the Chair of Human Resources. She also serves on the Board of the Foundation for the Victoria Symphony. In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in the field, Brown has been honored by the Queen’s Counsel and was recognized by the Victoria YMCA through Women of Distinction in 1997. Named one of the Best Lawyers in Canada, Brown was the recipient of the Leadership Victoria Award, as well as the Alumni Award from UBC Law School.
