Michael D. Brown is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a VIP member in the field of Law in recognition of his role as Founding Partner of Ohrenstein & Brown, LLP. Having established O&B in 1983, Ohrenstein & Brown, LLP is a nationwide boutique law firm specializing in litigation and insurance regulatory matters. O&B is dedicated to helping our clients solve the business problems they could not resolve without litigation, and under Brown’s leadership, O&B has a long history of achieving successful outcomes. Amassing over forty-five years of experience in the field of Law and over thirty-four years of experience as the senior partner of O&B, Brown serves as the Head of the Litigation and Insurance Regulatory Practices for his law firm. Having previously worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and New York’s Office of Special Prosecutor for Corruption in New York City’s Criminal Justice System, Brown is a renowned speaker and lecturer for several esteemed organizations and has spoken in regard to numerous topics including litigation management techniques, employment practice litigation, insurance coverage issues, and the defense of professional liability matters. Throughout his career, Brown has frequently been called upon to litigate significant and unusual cases across the nation, including cases involving “satellite life insurance,” discrimination claims against various businesses, and commercial disputes between different businesses. To further his professional development, Brown maintains affiliations and memberships with many prestigious organizations including the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association, he has also served on the Board of Directors of several publicly owned entities and is the Co-Chair of the Nassau County Museum of Art’s Corporate Committee and supports the American Heart Association and Children’s Diabetes. Brown obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and History from Beloit College in 1967, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the New York University School of Law in 1970. In recognition of his professional accolades, Brown has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” and his Firm was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of New York’s “Best Law Firms” and was singled out as the ONLY Tier 1 Insurance Practice on Long Island. When he is not working, Brown is an avid golfer who also plays tennis, and is a baseball and football fan. Brown enjoys reading history and his favorite publication is Forbes magazine. Brown enjoys traveling and being with his four grandsons. Brown dedicates this recognition to his mother and father, Peggy and Marvin Brown, and to his mentors, Dr. Warner Mills and Maurice Nadjari.
