Amy J. Benjamin is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Law in recognition of her role as Founding Partner of Benjamin Law, PC. Benjamin is also experienced in advertising and packaging review, pre-publication review, licensing and due diligence for corporate matters. Benjamin attained her Juris Doctor degree in 1989 from New York University School of Law, where she completed a fellowship in Libel Law. Benjamin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, Cum Laude, from Brandeis University in 1986. Prior to founding Benjamin Law PC in 2009, Benjamin was a partner at the intellectual property law boutique, Darby & Darby PC and an associate in the intellectual property group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. To further her professional development, Benjamin has been active in several professional organizations including the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, the NYC Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association, where she has held various committee, board, council and division chair positions. Benjamin authored an amicus brief on behalf of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, which was submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc. v. Grokster, Ltd. Benjamin is also an active member of the Legal Committee of The Jewish National Fund, where she provides pro bono counseling and services on intellectual property law matters. Admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Ninth and Federal Circuits, Benjamin is a revered expert within her field. In recognition of her professional accolades, Benjamin was the recipient of the New York Super Lawyer Award in intellectual property in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and is an active member of Who’s Who.
