Judith K. Brown, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a VIP Member in the field of Higher Education. Dr. Brown is a Professor at the University of Arizona’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Founded in 1885, the University of Arizona is home to hundreds of undergraduate and graduate degree programs within twenty colleges and eleven schools throughout three campuses. In addition to excellent education programs, the University of Arizona is a global leader in research and is comprised of more than $606 million in research investment each year. As their website states, “With an education and research portfolio that stretches from soil sciences, to resource management, to retailing, and from beneath the soil to outer space, the University of Arizona’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences offers 14 undergraduate degree programs across four schools and six departments. CALS research touches on nearly every aspect of modern life and has played a pivotal role in Arizona’s and the global economy over the course of its 131-year history. Through UA Cooperative Extension, the college shares the fruits of its research with the people of Arizona and the world.” Possessing nearly thirty years of experience, Dr. Brown has been an instructor at the University of Arizona since 1998. Her areas of expertise include all facets of plant pathology, plant virology research, insect vectors and more. Dr. Brown also has experience teaching international students from all walks of life. An esteemed Fellow of the American Psychopathological Society and American Association for the Advancement of Science, Dr. Brown remains an active member of the Entomological Society of America and American Society for Virology. Heavily knowledgeable in the industry, Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with a specialty in Plant Virology at the University of Arizona following her Master’s degree in Plant Pathology-Virology from Washington State University. Dr. Brown initially began her educational career with a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M University. Outside of work, Dr. Brown enjoys cooking, gardening, and fine wines.
