Phyllis A. Gunderson is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of fine art. Gunderson’s professional title is Owner and Artist at Humming Wolf Studio, an art gallery and studio located in New Mexico. She brings expertise in wildlife landscape, spiritual artwork, information technology and human resources to her role and to her career as a whole. “As a young child, I would daydream and draw, color, and paint everything around me,” Gunderson said. “It was my mother who recognized and encouraged me with art lessons in oil painting basics and technique from local artists.” Prior to establishing her studio and pursuing a career in fine art, Gunderson worked as an executive at Lockheed Martin, and retired after 30 years of service. She utilized her interest in art as a hobby throughout her corporate career. “Painting has been my refuge and solace in this life journey,” Gunderson said. “Along the way I found people were inspired by my work and wanted my works in their lives. Humming Wolf Studios was born from my deep desire to connect with people and the spirit of nature and transform the beauty around us to art, creating a new vision of the known and bringing to life rich, vibrant colors using oil and canvas.” Gunderson’s work includes paintings of nature scenes, landscapes, wild animals, window views and still life paintings. Additionally, the Humming Wolf Studio sells homemade greeting cards, high resolution prints and giclee on canvas paintings. Her paintings appear in her own gallery, and she also showcases paintings in a plethora of local events. Gunderson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles. She then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California. To further her professional development, Gunderson is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, which named her as a member of its VIP Woman of the Year Circle.
