N’Dri Assie-Lumumba, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Higher Education. She currently serves as a Professor at Cornell University. Founded in 1865, Cornell University is a private, Ivy

Possessing over 25 years of knowledge and experience, Dr. Lumumba’s areas of expertise lie within Africana studies, social and family institutions/structures, higher education instruction, public speaking, mentoring and research opportunities. Throughout the course of her illustrious career, Dr. Lumumba has worked in and traveled to countless countries across Asia, North and South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe to further advance her knowledge.
In these countries, Dr. Lumumba has been involved with institution building and human resource development, and has even served as a senior advisor for national and international development agencies and organizations- such as various units of the United Nations system, foundations and youth organizations. An expert in her field, Dr. Lumumba has been employed by several universities and institutions for both research and teaching positions. As a testament to her success, Dr. Lumumba’s article titled “Educational and Economic Reforms Gender Equity and Access to Schooling in Africa” was published in the International Journal of Comparative Sociology in 2001. She is also the recipient of the International Women of The Year award from the International Biographical Centre, and the 2001 honoree of the Joyce Cain Award for Distinguished Research on African Descendants. Following receipt of two Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees, Dr. Lumumba went on to attain her Ph.D. in Comparative Education at the University of Chicago.
