Maureen D. Pastine

Maureen D. Pastine is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Education. She is an Independent Writer and Fundraiser. An accomplished fundraiser, Maureen is a true renaissance woman. She is a writer, library administrator, information technologist and educator with over 40 years of experience. Maureen began having an interest in library science working as a student assistant in the library at Fort Hays State University in 1962. To date, she has worked across the nation at prestigious institutions such as: Southern Methodist University, University of Nebraska at Omaha, San Jose State University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Washington State University and Temple University. In addition, she taught graduate library school courses in ten states and led educational exchanges in several foreign countries. With her expertise in academic libraries, fundraising, library science, technology integration, management and teaching, Maureen has touched the hearts of countless children across the globe. A testament to her success, she has raised over $80 million dollars throughout the course of her career. Furthermore, Maureen was one of only three Americans from large research universities selected to present papers at forums in honor of Nobel Prize winners in the sciences from the 1980s to the 2000s. A member of the American Library Association and the National Association of Professional Women, Maureen earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Emporia State University. She initially began her collegiate career with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Fort Haus State University, where she was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
