Dr. Audrey F. Bronson

Dr. Audrey F. Bronson is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Theology. Dr. Bronson is a Doctor, Bishop and Founder of Sanctuary Church of the Open Door and Christian Academy.

 In the industry for seventy years, Dr. Bronson founded Sanctuary Church fifty years ago. When asked why she founded the church, Dr. Bronson states “people didn’t feel comfortable going to church because they didn’t have the clothes for it, so you may wear whatever you want at my church. You don’t need the traditional Sunday best, you are welcomed with open arms”. With her expertise in spiritual direction, leadership and religious education, Dr. Bronson is an award winning bishop, speaker, panelist, television guest and consultant. Recognized in Gospel Today magazine as one of 2005’s most-loved pastors, her photo and brief resume was featured in an issue of the African American Pulpit as one of “Those Preaching Women”.

 A wise and knowledgeable professional, Dr. Bronson holds several degrees. She has a Doctorate in Ministries from New York Theological Seminary, Doctor of Divinity degree from Bethune-Cookman College and a Doctor of Humane Letters from the National Theological Seminary and College. In addition, Dr. Bronson received her Master’s degree in Psychology from Howard University following her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Cheyney University. She also taught at Cheyney University for seventeen years throughout the course of her career.
