Melanie Lewis, the Principal Ombuds for global oilfield services company Baker Hughes, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle
Professional in the field of Legal Services. A Certified Organization Ombudsman Practitioner (CO-OP), Melanie played an integral role in launching the Ombuds program at Baker Hughes, where she has served as Principal Ombuds for more than three years. The company’s Ombuds program offers employees an outlet to express concerns related to work matters in strict confidence.
Melanie provides direction in change management, ombudsing, conflict resolution, organizational management and effectiveness, mediation, negotiation, strategy and more. An integral asset to Baker Hughes, Melanie utilizes her strong leadership and organizational skills to support the company and its employees in maintaining a positive workplace. To keep abreast of professional developments, Melanie remains an active member of the International Ombudsman Association, National Association of Professional Women, Association for Conflict Resolution, Society for Human Resource Management and serves as a member of the Board for the Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner.
Receiving her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Tulane University, Melanie went on to complete her MBA from Kennesaw State University. Following her MBA, she earned a juris doctor from the South Texas College of Law.
