A retired Lieutenant General with the US Army, Steven was admitted to the Indiana and Florida State Bars in 1972 where he has made a name for himself as a successful attorney, arbitrator, consultant, mediator, expert, public speaker and umpire. Possessing a B.V. Distinguished rating with MartindaleHubbell, Steven holds certification as a CPCU (Property and Casualty Underwriter) and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) as well as an AIC (Associate in Claims and (AAI) Accredited Advisor in Insurance both through the Insurance Institute of America. Steven’s areas of concentration include: general civil litigation, products liability litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, federal court litigation, insurance litigation, medical malpractice and hospital liability, aviation litigation, construction defects litigation and more. He is often sought to give expert testimony for bad faith claims, policy interpretation and adjusters, agents/brokers standard of care.
To keep abreast of the latest in the legal field, Steven maintains affiliation with the Tennessee and Florida Bar Associations and is both a member and former President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association (FL) and Rutherford-Cannon County Bar Associations. (TN) Additionally, Steven is a member of Kiwanis and Business Networking International, and has previously served as a board member for United Way in Rutherford County, TN and Palm Beach County, FL. In his free time, Steven enjoys movies and reading. Heavily knowledgeable in his industry, Steven holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University. He also holds an M.A.L.S, Master of Library Science degree from the University of Michigan as well as his L.L.M, Air and Space Law from McGill University Institute of Air and Space Law.
