Phil W. Stephenson

Phil W. Stephenson, CPA, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Accounting. Phil is the Owner of PW Stephenson & Co., P.C. Prior to opening his own business in 1974, Phil worked at Main LaFrentz & Co., P.C. for four years where he attained his knowledge in public accountancy. Fast forward to present, Phil has been successfully running PW Stephenson & Co for decades. Phil has over forty years in accounting; however his first love is baseball. His dad played with the St. Louis Cardinals and ever since high school when he was a pitcher, he wanted to make it in the major leagues. At that time, Phil decided to pursue accounting so he could negotiate his own baseball contracts. Presently, Phil continues to have a successful practice and is also a member of the State Legislature of Texas. To date, he has helped twenty seven kids get scholarships through baseball.

A Certified Public Accountant, Phil specializes in all facets of accounting, financial analysis and tax services. To remain abreast of the latest in the industry, he is an active member of the American Association of Cooperative Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants where he also holds a position as a peer reviewer. Furthermore, Phil maintains affiliation with the Houston and Victoria chapters of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of the office, he enjoys baseball and golfing.
