Janet Leigh-Pink Brooks is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as 2014 Woman of The Yearin the field of Nursing as 
a result of her role as Chief Nursing Officer with USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. With over thirty years of experience in Nursing, Janet currently specializes in departmental management, training, nursing, patient care, performance improvement, and project planning.
As a result of her expertise, she was chosen to be a consultant to actress Jada Pinkett Smith for the TV Show Hawthorne for three years. In this capacity, she worked with Ms. Smith to prepare her for her TV role as a nurse and worked with her throughout the filming process. In addition to her work with USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Janet serves as Vice President for the San Fernando Valley Chapter of ACNL and was the Past President of the Nursing Leadership Council of the Hospital Association of Southern California. She is also currently a member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders.
Throughout her educational career, Janet earned her MBA from Cal State University Northridge, MN from UCLA, and holds a BS from Cal State University Bakersfield. For more information, please visit www.uscvhh.org.
