Otto J. Welper

Otto J. Welper is recognized by Continental Who’s Who in the field of Oil and Gas as a result of his role as CEO and Geophysicist with Viking International Petroleum, LLC. Established in 2001, Viking International Petroleum is  a Houston based oil and gas exploration company using  advanced geoscience technologies to better image  and delineates hydrocarbon traps. Otto, a seasoned  geophysicist, has over 30 years in the oil and gas and seismic businesses.

For the past thirteen years, he has been  working closely with elements including geophysics, geology, exploration, seismology, natural gas processes, petroleum, and is a well known name in the field of processing  and interpretation of 3-D seismic data. He has published several scientific articles throughout the course of his career, and is a member of the American  Association of Petroleum Geologists. In his spare time, Otto enjoys golfing and watching movies. Furthermore, he holds a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Connecticut.
