Dorothy W. Schlimme

Dorothy W. Schlimme is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare as result of her role as Chief Executive Officer of Management and Operations of Dorothy’s Angel Haven Adult Family Home. Since 2001, Dorothy’s Angel Haven has been a family owned and operated residential care provider for the elderly. Their mission is to provide safe, respectful care that maintains individual integrity, independence, and assures quality of life in a home environment and exceeds the expectations of loved ones.

Having sixteen years of experience in hotel management as hospitality, Dorothy applies her knowledge of hospitality services to taking care of the elderly that are housed in the facility. She specializes in adult care, hospice care, event planning, working with medical doctors, and more. In addition, Dorothy also works closely with human resources, admissions, financial analysis, training staff, and more.

Furthermore, Dorothy has undergone specialty training in mental health and dementia caregiving, and is a certified Nursing Assistant with over twelve years of experience in both nursing homes and adult family homes. She co-authored a college management program that is being taught at five community colleges in the state of Washington, and is the President of Adult Family Home Association of Washington State Residential Care Council of Adult Family Homes, (WSRCC) South King County Chapter. Dorothy is a member of the Washington State Ombudsman Advisory Council, and the National Federation of Independent Business as well. Aside from the demands of work, she enjoys going to church, traveling, and reading. She is happily married to her husband, Thomas, and together they have three daughters.

Throughout the course of her studies, Dorothy earned a diploma in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School in Les Roches, Switzerland.
