Pavan K. Ananth, MD, MPH, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Obstetrician-Gynecologist for his remarkable contributions in the field of Medicine, and in acknowledgment for his commitment with Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley.

As one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic and patient care delivery systems, NewYork-Presbyterian is affiliated with two world-renowned medical schools. At NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley in Cortlandt Manor, NY, the staff work in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University Medical Center, to which Dr. Ananth belongs, to provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home.

Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Ananth offers a vast repertoire of expertise in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery and offers minimally invasive surgical techniques for a range of procedures, resulting in faster recovery with less postoperative pain, fewer complications, and improved outcomes. He is well-versed in performing surgeries for conditions including fibroids, adenomyosis, incontinence, prolapse, endometriosis, infertility, pelvic pain, and more. In his current capacity, he is dedicated to providing the highest standard of women’s healthcare. He prides himself on empowering women and building positive relationships with his patients. Alongside caring for patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, Dr. Ananth also serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

To prepare for his acclaimed medical career, Dr. Ananth obtained his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. While studying medicine he also obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on International Health and Development through the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at New York Medical College (working at both Westchester Medical Center and Metropolitan Hospital), where he was named Chief Resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year Award. He completed his fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Northside Hospital at the Atlanta Center for Special Pelvic Surgery and Reproductive Medicine in Georgia.

To stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, Dr. Ananth has maintained active memberships with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Robotic Surgery, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Ananth enjoys doing yoga, playing water polo, and going to restaurants and shows in NYC. In college, he was a Division I varsity athlete in swimming. Dr. Ananth dedicates this recognition to his mother, Uma Ananth, who is also an OBGYN, and continues to serve as an inspiration to promote women’s healthcare and empowerment.
