Billy H. Cordon-Galiano MD is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Urologist in the field of Medicine for his professional excellence throughout his career and with Mount Sinai Medical Center. Leading an outstanding career in medicine, Dr. Cordon-Galiano is a highly respected, board-certified, and fellowship-trained Urologist, Director of Urologic Reconstruction, Trauma, and Prosthetics and Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s Division of Urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He has garnered a well-deserving reputation having accrued 11 years of professional excellence and commendable skills to deal with all types of complex urethral reconstruction, complex penile implant (IPP) surgery, revision urethral sphincter (AUS) surgery, and severe peyronie’s disease. In his current capacity, Dr. Cordon-Galiano performs his penile implant surgeries using the “No Touch” technique developed by Dr. Francois Eid to minimize surgical infection rates. His innate ability to perform penile plications for Peyronie’s disease minimally invasive, without “degloving” the penis sets him apart from any other Urologist.

In light of his academic achievements, Dr. Cordon-Galiano’s distinguished career began after he obtained his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then served as Chief Resident of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital. Following his residency, he continued his training and completed a fellowship in Urologic Reconstruction, Trauma, and Prosthetics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center with Dr. Allen Morey, the highest urethral reconstruction center in the United States.

To stay up-to-date with the latest urology advancements, Dr. Cordon-Galiano maintains active memberships and affiliations with the American College of Surgeons, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and the American Urological Association. In addition to his current appointments, he is a faculty member for Columbia University’s (GURS) Fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstruction and trains fellows rotating with him from New York City. He is also a highly sought after speaker and has been invited to speak at both national and international meetings on Urologic Reconstruction, Prosthetics, and Men’s Health.

In his spare time, Dr. Cordon-Galiano is devoted to his involvement in medical missionary work, where he provides free urologic reconstruction surgery in Latin America, including Honduras. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Cordon-Galiano dedicates this honorable recognition to Dr. Francois Eid, Dr. Jack Macanich, and Dr. Chris Dixon.
