Robert F. Herbold, Jr., DPM, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Podiatry in acknowledgment for his unwavering commitment as Podiatrist and Owner at Accredited Podiatry.
Board-certified podiatrist Dr. Herbold has led a remarkable career for 24 years and gained unique experiences in private practice for 21 years. He practices a wide array of podiatric procedures and surgeries, specializing in rear and forefoot reconstructions, sports medicine, and wound care. Highly regarded as compassionate and gentle, Dr. Herbold takes pride in working closely with his patients to consider all of their needs, and does not rush to surgery. In addition to caring for patients in his private practice, he also works with patients at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
An academic scholar, Dr. Herbold obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and pre-medical studies, with extensive course work in microbiology and physiology from Northwestern University. He went on to earn a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the William D. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Thereafter, he completed a one year podiatric/orthopedic residency at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and two-year surgical podiatric residencies at Mid-Western Regional Medical Center in Zion, IL. In light of his academic achievements, Dr. Herbold is board certified in podiatry by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Throughout his acclaimed career, Dr. Herbold has maintained active memberships and affiliations with professional organizations including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as a Fellow, the Florida Podiatric Medical Association, and the Manasota Podiatric Association as Vice President.
In his spare time, Dr. Herbold enjoys playing golf. He serves as Chairman for the Manasota Podiatric Association’s yearly golf tournament benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. An active member of his community, he has also established the “One Foot at a Time” campaign working to clean up local beaches in Sarasota.
Dr. Herbold dedicates this recognition in the memory of Adolph Galinski, DPM, his surgical instructor, and a motivational mentor. He also dedicates this to Lee Tisa, DPM who was instrumental in mentoring on how to successfully run a medical practice.
