Daniel Ketema, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Psychiatry as a Psychiatrist at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center.

Wichita, the largest city in Kansas is home to Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. There they serve the greater metropolitan area with a population of over 500,000 people with approximately 30,000 of those residents being Veterans. This is both a primary and secondary facility as well as a teaching hospital using state of the art technology for comprehensive care.

Dr. Daniel Ketema has over 13 years’ experience, earning his Medical Degree from China Medical University. After medical school, Dr. Ketema practiced medicine for a few years before he decided to specialize in the field of Psychiatry, later joining a psychiatry residency program in Austin, Texas. Dr. Ketema decided to go into psychiatry because of the great need for mental health professionals. His particular set of expertise is with adult psychiatry, providing care to patients from young adults, to the elderly.

Taking into account the diversity of the patient population, Dr. Ketema knows each individual has a unique story and presentation. He takes advantage of the opportunity of adequate one to one time with patients at the VA compared to private practice. It helps him to connect with his patients and build a good working relationship in a short time. Dr. Ketema understands although treatments or medications that are being used can have some uniformity, it comes down to the different approaches to treat each patient that can make a big difference. He treats all those he serves and with whom he works, with dignity and respect, you must show respect to earn it.

In his free time, Dr. Ketema enjoys spending time with his loving wife Martha and two boys ages 14 and 7 Matthias and Lucas, who love to play soccer. Otherwise, drive around or travel.
