Ilona S. Genis, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Doctor in the field of Ophthalmology as an Ophthalmologist in her private practice.

Dr. Ilona Genis is a board-certified ophthalmologist in Brooklyn, New York and is known to work with multiple hospitals in the greater New York City Area, including NYC Health and Hospitals-Coney Island and Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Genis has been in practice for more than 20 years with her areas of expertise are glaucoma surgery pterygium surgery scleral reinforcement surgery and vitreoretinal surgery.

Before pursuing a career in Ophthalmology, Dr. Genis received her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine in 1989 with both her Internship and residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She is also a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including NYC Health and Hospitals and Coney Island and Maimonides Medical Center. For her outstanding clinical expertise, she was honored with a Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2015.
