Dr. Paul M. Anain’s area of expertise is Vascular and Endovascular and Aneurysms. Dr. Anain has been in the field of surgery for 21 years. In 1999, he opened his own practice with his father a pioneer in vascular surgery, Joseph M. Anain Sr. Together they created Catholic Health’s first carotid stent program for carotid artery disease at Sisters Hospital. He serves his patients as the Chairman of Vascular Surgery since 2002 at Sisters or Charity Hospital and currently the Medical Director of Vascular Service Line.

To better prepare to follow in his father’s footsteps Dr. Anain’s studied at Buffalo Medical School, to secure his Medical Degree. Following earning his medical degree he attended the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, to complete his residency. He was awarded Man of the Year by D’Youville College. His career accomplishments include being Chief of Vascular Surgery for the Catholic Health System and has numerous publications geared towards vascular and endovascular care. A leader in his field he maintains his affiliation with Society Vascular.

Dr. Anain retains the philosophy that “We don’t think of ourselves as last resort, we think of ourselves as vascular medicine. So, we try to treat people before surgery. We try to help them get on the path, so we don’t need to operate.”

In his free time Dr. Paul M. Anain appreciates spending time with his wife Leslie and has two sons.
