Matthew Thomas Binkley, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

With 41 fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists on-site, UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine serves as the largest orthopaedics group in Western New York. UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine provides comprehensive orthopaedic services like rehabilitation for foot and ankle injuries, to spine conditions and back pain, along with concussion and sports medicine.

Dr. Matthew Thomas Binkley is a committed Orthopedic Surgeon on staff at UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine for the last year and a half with 10 years in the medical field. Dr. Binkley decided to become an orthpaedic surgeon after suffering from numerous shoulder related issues in his youth. Experiencing instability in the shoulder, he met with a local orthopedist who helped him get back on the playing field. His experience opened his eyes that he could potentially help others with similar ailments, starting his practice in 2011. He developed expertise arein all things orthopaedic with a focus on shoulder surgeries including shoulder replacement, arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery, and associated procedures including shoulder instability and fractures of the shoulder region.

Dr. Binkley enjoys the challenge of treating people’s ailments and guiding their return to what they like to do. Helping patients get through their orthopedic issues and back to their normal life is extremely rewarding and makes going to work for him very fulfilling.

After obtaining his BS in Biology at Wright State University, Dr. Binkley MD attended Boonshoft School of Medicine associated with Wright State. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at the University of Buffalo and later spent a year at Johns Hopkins University for a Shoulder Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Binkley remains affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the New York State Orthopaedics Association. Today, Dr. Binkley is a part of an academic group and spends a significant amount of time teaching resident In his free time, Dr. Binkley enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.

He dedicates this honorable recognition to his mentors Uma Srikumaran, MD, Edward McFarland MD, Thomas Duquin, MD, and Phillip Stegemann MD.
