Martin Andreansky, MD, PhD is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as the Director Pediatric Bone & Marrow Transplants with Christus Health - The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
In the field for 30 years, Dr. Martin Andreansky has always wanted to work with children, due to their resilience. He performs Bone Marrow and blood transplant procedures for the ultimate underdogs and providing them hope. Being that these are very difficult procedures, Dr. Andreansky remains open with the parents of his patients by communicating that yes this is difficult, and yes he is taking their kids from hell and back, however bringing them back with a new lease on life. In his practice, Dr. Andreansky also finds the use of stem cells successful in patients suffering from sickle cell anemia.
For his medical degree, Dr. Andreansky attended Jessenius Medical School and received his Medical Degree. He completed his residencies at St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital and LeBonhour Children’s Medical Center. Followed by his Fellowships at Comenius University & Penn State University he is certified with the American Board of Pediatric HematologyOncology, and an invited member of the COG, Children's Oncology Group.
His advice to those coming up in the field is to “Be open-minded — always be on the lookout for changing technologies and procedures in the field.”
