Mo. A. Kirdani, MD, FRCR is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Radiology as a Radiologist.
Radiology is the science with dealing with X-rays and other high-energy radiation, with the use of radiation for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. A radiologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injuries by using medical imaging technologies, such as MRI and CT. Radiologists also treat diseases, such as cancer or heart disease, by means of radiation or minimally invasive, image-guided surgery.
Dr. Kirdani started his career at St. Lukes from 1970-2000. He then became a private doctor until 2006. His area of expertise is interventional radiology making him 1 of 12 in the nation with interventional radiology practice. Interventional radiology is a group of techniques where medical imaging guidance, such as x-ray fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or ultrasound, are used to guide medical therapies to precisely the internal structures of the body through very small incisions. A. Kirdani received his medical degree in Egypt. He later attended the University Hospital Cryo, where he completed his residency. To this day he maintains his relationships with his Fellowships at the University of Chicago and Royal College of Radiology.
