Dr. Joan Adolfo Alvarez is an expert OB/GYN helping patients of North Miami. OB/GYN is considered one specialty in healthcare, however, it comprises of two distinct fields. Obstetrics the OB involves care during pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and care immediately after delivery. Gynecology the GYN involves care of all women’s health issues of all ages.
Earning her Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Dr. Alvarez came to America to complete a residency with Yale University’s Newhaven Bridgeport Hospital becoming an expert in OB/GYN services and minimally invasive surgery. With her knowledge, Dr. Alverez is an invited FACOG and affiliated with the AAGL.
In her free time, Dr. Alveraz enjoys family, travel, jet ski and donates her time and resources to the International Children’ s foundation.
