Carole Petiet, PhD, RN, SEP, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Psychology as a Writer and Psychologist at her Private Practice.

With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Petiet has gained valuable and extensive skill helping people know their true thoughts, feelings, and desires. At her private practice, she offers holistic services, psychotherapy, somatic experiencing (SEP), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), hypnosis, and sandplay therapy. She specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families for adults, adolescents, and children, having successfully treated a wide array of conditions and situations, such as trauma, chronic illness, sexual abuse and assault, grief, depression, and drug and alcohol abuse.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Petiet attended Baylor University School of Nursing for a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She transitioned to the California School of Professional Psychology at Berkeley, earning a Master of Arts and a Doctorate. She has earned licensure as a registered nurse and public health nurse, as well as certifications in EMDR and SEP. She remains aware of changes in her field by maintaining affiliations with the American Psychological Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Petiet is an avid athlete. She enjoys spending time with family and donates to the 1st Congregational Church of Berkeley.
