Richard Ross Heuser, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P. F.E.S.C., M.S.C.A.I., is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as a Cardiologist at the Vascular Heart and Lung Associates.
Now open at two locations, Vascular Heart and Lung Associates offers premier cardiology services at 3850 E Baseline Rd and 3850 East Baseline Road Suite 103. At the forefront of technological advancements, the office provides radial first, a safer and less invasive technique for cardiac catheterization procedure that is executed through the patient’s radial artery. Dr. Heuser specializes in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Backed by thirty-eight years of professional experience, Dr. Heuser is a top cardiologist in the greater Phoenix area. He has over twenty-four patents and dozens pending. Currently, he has eight products on the market used by other cardiologists. He spends a great deal of time focusing on clinical research, previously involved in the early stages of the angioplasty stent approval. Devoted to excellent patient care, he served as a professor at the University of Arizona for ten years and at John Hopkins University (JHU) for one year.
To prepare for his career, Dr. Heuser earned a medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1976, completing an internship, residency, and fellowship at JHU.
A leader in his field, Dr. Heuser is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and European Society of Cardiology (ESC), serving as a board member of Arizona State University (ASU). A noted humanitarian, he donates to JHU, ASU, and various charitable organizations.
A pillar in the cardiology community, Dr. Heuser publishes articles approximately every two weeks.
When he is not working, Dr. Heuser likes traveling, skiing, biking, and being physically active.
Dr. Heuser dedicates this recognition to his mentor Chief of Cardiology and Chief of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University Dr. Myron Weisfeldt and, in loving memory of, his father Elliott Heuser.
