John R. Peralo, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as a Colorectal Surgeon at Horizon Medical Group.
Horizon Medical Group is devoted to excellent patient care, employing over one hundred providers at over thirty locations. The group provides a wide array of services, including surgery, endoscopy, gastroenterology, and critical care. Dr. Peralo has been a member of the group for sixteen years, serving at 30 Hatfield Lane in Goshen. Renowned in his field, he has over two decades of surgical experience.
An acclaimed surgeon, Dr. Peralo’s areas of expertise is colorectal surgery and preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of patients with colorectal disorders. He has been board certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgery and by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery in colon and rectal surgery. In addition to his role at the private practice, he is affiliated with Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY.
In preparation for his career, Dr. Peralo attended the New York University School of Medicine, earning a Doctorate of Medicine in 1987. He completed a colon and rectal surgery residency at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, NJ, and a general surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York City, NY.
Dr. Peralo’s opinion is highly respected in his field. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
When not working, Dr. Peralo enjoys traveling and volunteering. He is charitable to various organizations.
