Angela R. Williams, MD

Angela R. Williams, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as a Radiologist at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Located less than a mile from the main campus, Richard M. Shulze Family Foundation Outpatient Center is a hospital and teaching facility that renders premier outpatient services. The center has a full spectrum of services, including, but not limited to, a skin cancer clinic, breast cancer clinic, senior adult oncology program, cardio-oncology program, and radiology and diagnostic imaging services. Dr. Williams has served at the center for eleven years in the Breast Imaging Department, specializing in mammography, ultrasounds, MRIs, biopsies, and resident and fellow education. She has been a tremendous asset on account of her compassionate nature and meticulous attention to detail.

A diagnostic imaging specialist and interventional radiologist, Dr. Williams has been serving in her field for thirteen years. She has had extensive experience providing services for cancer, focusing on ductal carcinoma in situ, invasive ductal carcinoma, breast cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, and triple negative breast cancer.

In recognition of academic achievements, Dr. Williams earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a residency and musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging program fellowship at the University of South Florida, Morsani School of Medicine, completing an additional fellowship at the Breast Imaging at Moffitt Cancer Center. Following her training, she earned board certification in diagnostic radiology.

Remaining abreast of the latest developments, Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association for Women Radiologists (AAWR), American Roentgen Ray Society (AARS), American Board of Radiology (ABR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), American College of Radiology (ACR), and Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). She is an active member of her community, volunteering at Miles for Moffitt, Susan G Comen, and Spring Fling at the Spring.

A pillar in the radiology community, Dr. Williams has been active in research, co-authoring numerous reports such as “Imaging Management of Breast Density, a Controversial Risk Factor for Breast Cancer”, “Preparation of benz[b]indeno[1,2-e]pyran11(6H)-ones from dilithiated 2-indanone and lithiated methyl salicylates and lithiated methyl thiosalicylate”, and“Preparation of 4-oxo-n-aryl-4h-1-benzothiopyran-2-acetamides from trilithiated acetoacetanilides and lithiated methyl thiosalicylate”.
