Barbara Jean (Sam) Gallagher, RN, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever for her outstanding contributions to the field of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Currently retired, Mrs. Gallagher has accrued over 30 years of professional experience as a nurse. She was a former Director of Nursing for an in home healthcare facility. She offered expert care in nursing, and administrative services as a nurse administrator. “I wanted to be a nurse when I was five years old, after having four children, I became a nurse. First I became an LPN and then went on to become a RN.”
Prior to embarking in her professional career as a nurse, Mrs. Gallagher received her education at Somerset College where she earned her degree as a nurse.
In her free time, Mrs. Gallagher loves to garden and enjoys painting landscapes and still life paintings. She is married and has 4 children, 17 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gallagher would like to impart some advice to anyone looking to become a nurse. She says, “Nursing is the hardest job you’ll ever love.”
Mrs. Gallagher would like to dedicate this esteemed recognition in the loving memory of her wonderful brother Patrick Coleman Johnson who died June 6, 2019, to her amazing sister who died August, 6, 2019, and to her beloved daughter Mourna who died September 11, 2019.
