With over 28 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Wilson specializes in minimally invasive spine and brain procedures, especially spinal and nerve (Brain) surgery. She has been at her current position for 16 years.
Throughout her education and training, Dr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Northwestern University and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas HSC (Houston). Following this, Dr. Wilson completed a residency in neurosurgery at Rush Presbyterian (St. Lukes) and was Board Certified in Neurosurgery.
To further her professional development, Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Association of Neurosurgery, Congress of Neurosurgery, and North American Spine Society. Dr. Wilson is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Wilson dedicates her recognition to Walter Whisler, M.D., Ph.D., who was her mentor and program director at Rush Medical Center, and to Richard Penn, M.D., a training facility member.
