Joseph C. Canterino, MD

Joseph C. Canterino, M.D., is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as an OB-GYN at Hackensack Meridian Health.

In addition to his role as OB-GYN at Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Canterino also serves as the Vice Chairman at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and is an Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University.

With over 22 years of experience in his field, Dr. Canterino is an accomplished author in his field, publishing numerous works such as “Depression in pregnancy: time of screening and access to psychiatric care” in the Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine in January 1, 2011; “The significance of a positive second trimester screen for trisomy 18” in the Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine in January 1, 2010; and “Advanced Maternal Age and Risks of Adverse Outcomes” in the Female Patient.

Dr. Canterino graduated from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed a residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and completed a fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center. Dr. Canterino is certified in Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

To further his professional development, Dr. Canterino is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and actively supports fund raising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
