Thu-Anh Hoang, MD

Thu-Anh Hoang, MD is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Radiology Professional for her work as a radiologist with Olive View UCLA Medical Center.  

Olive View UCLA Medical Center is a health establishment, doubling as a teaching hospital, with over 375 beds servicing the people of the Los Angeles area. This medical center was originally founded in the 1920’s as a result of the disastrous tuberculosis outbreak. After the proper medicines were developed to eradicate the deadly disease, the establishment remained functioning as a general hospital.  

Dr. Thu-Anh Hoang, actively practicing for over two decades as a radiologist, specializes in neuroradiology, the practice of studying and diagnosing the brain and central nervous system through Neuroimaging. Dr. Hoang has fine-tuned knowledge of the body, but she appreciates and enjoys the challenges of diagnosing a patient. Her personal philosophy is that one should never stop learning, and that success in this field takes a lot of hard work and personal sacrifice.  

After attending the University of Iowa at the Carver College of Medicine, Dr. Hoang received her medical degree. She then went on to complete her internship at the University of Rochester, a fellowship with the University of California Irvine, and another fellowship with Loma Linda University. Finally, Dr. Hoang completed her residency with Allegheny General Hospital.  

When Dr. Hoang is not treating patients, she enjoys reading religious texts. She is currently a member of Legion of Mary, and is a parishioner with St. Francis De Sales in Sherman Oaks, CA. Dr. Hoang dedicates this recognition to her aunt, Thu Thi Dang, who helped make her medical career possible by taking care of her two children.
