Anne C. Fischer, MD, PhD

Anne C. Fischer, MD, PhD is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Surgeon in the field of Pediatrics  at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital. 
With over 28 years of experience as a physician, Dr. Fischer specializes in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopy and complex neonatal surgeries.
Throughout her education and training, Dr. Fischer received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Math at University of North Carolina and a Doctor of Medicine Degree and PhD at Johns Hopkins Medical School. Later, Dr. Fischer went on to complete her internship and residency of surgery at Johns Hopkins Medical School, her Pediatric surgical residency at Boston Children’s (Harvard), and finally, Dr. Fischer received her Master of Business Administration degree from Brandeis University.
To further her professional development, Dr. Fischer acts as a Diplomat at the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Pediatric Surgery. She is also a Fellow at the American College of Surgeons and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.
In recognition of her years of service, Dr. Fischer is a Morehead Scholar (UNC Chapel Hill). She has also been the recipient of the Top Doctor Award, Detroit “Hour” (2015, 2014), the Top Doctor in Pediatric Surgery, Castle Connolly Medical Inc. (2014), the  Top Doctor Award, Ambassador (2014), the Top 10 Doctor Award, American Registry (2014), and the America’s Top Surgeons, Honors of Distinction and Excellence: Consumer’s Research Council (2012).
Dr. Fischer dedicates this recognition in loving memory of her parents Janet Jordan, MD, and Newton Fischer, MD. She also dedicates this recognition to Handy Hendren, MD (Chief Boston Children’s) and Alex Haller, MD.
