While pursuing her educational endeavors, Dr. Jenkin received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Thereafter, Dr. Jenkin went on to complete a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in immunology, with a Ph.D. thesis in the field of reproductive immunology. Dr. Jenkin would go on to attain her MD from her alma mater.

Dr. Jenkin dedicates this recognition to her family. Dr. Jenkin also dedicates this recognition to her mentors, Dr. Ron Rosenthal in Canada and the late Dr. Colin Ramsey.
