Belinda Marcus, MD

Belinda Marcus, MD is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Medicine in recognition of her role as a Wound Care Physician at Belinda Marcus MD.

A seasoned clinician and medical director, her experience within medicine spans the spectrum from research and teaching to everyday clinical practice. Her scientific endeavors began with bench research at Merck & Co. and as a college student at University of Pennsylvania, and has since included a multi-center prospective trial, case studies, and peer-reviewed publications within the realm of wound care.

Her medical career began at the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati. She moved to Atlanta in 2000 for an assistant professor position at Emory University, where she brought emergency uses of ultrasound to Grady Hospital for faculty development, resident education, and the overall advancement of clinical emergency medicine.

In 2003, she immersed herself into the world of hyperbaric medicine and wound care. Over the last 15 years, she has continued to explore new technologies within this unique specialty and has lectured extensively on her clinical experiences. She joined the Center for Vascular Intervention (CVI) in February of 2018. Her goal at CVI is to provide the most comprehensive, innovative and integrative care to all of her patients. CVI provides outstanding care with unmatched efficiency and success, as it is the only combined vascular and wound care practice in the Greater Atlanta area.

Through it all, her passion and primary focus remains delivering outstanding care to her patients. Her professional goal is to see all patients heal and return to a happier, healthier and improved quality of life.

A distinguished scholar, Dr. Marcus has authored, “Treatment of large, complex, non-healing wounds with cryopreserved amniotic suspension allograft: a case series,” and “The use of PriMatrix, a fetal bovine a cellular dermal matrix, in healing chronic diabetic foot ulcers: a prospective multicenter study.”

To further enhance her professional development, Dr. Marcus is a distinguished fellow of several prominent organizations including the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM), and American Board of Wound Management.

Dr. Marcus is first and foremost a mother to two amazing children and 3 adopted rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys music, traveling, reading and movies.

Dr. Marcus dedicates this recognition to her mother, Dora Marcus, and her children, Sophia and Zachary, for their continuing love and support. She also dedicates this in loving memory of her father, Sam Marcus.
