Maria J. Santana is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Industry Leader in Practice Management in recognition of her contributions to the field of Healthcare at Pathology Consultants of South Broward, LLC.

A frontrunner in the medical industry, Pathology Consultants of South Broward, LLC is a private practice. The pathology group has provided services to the Hollywood, Florida area for over fifty years. Affiliated with the MHS, the consultant team is equipped in providing services for several hospitals throughout the network. Offering a wide array of services to their clients, the practice specializes in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and molecular pathology, and the staff consists of a number of pathologists, pathologists’ assistants, clinical laboratory scientists and administrative staff members.

Amassing over forty years of experience in the industry and fourteen years of experience in her current role as Practice Manager at Pathology Consultants of South Broward, Ms. Santana has specialized in all facets of medical services. Additionally, Ms. Santana has attained expertise in Operations, Scheduling, Human Resources, Insurance and Management. In her previous years, Ms. Santana served in the Department of Pathology Transcription at Memorial Regional Hospital, for 27 years.

Throughout the course of her education and training, Ms. Santana attained her Associate’s degree in General Business Administration and Management from Broward College.

To further her professional development, Ms. Santana is an affiliate of several organizations including the Florida Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management; the College of American Pathologists Practice Managers Association; and the National Association of Professional Women, which named her as a member of its VIP Woman of the Year Circle.

Charitable to various organizations, Ms. Santana supports a number of healthcare-related charities, including the Lung Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.

When she is not working, Ms. Santana enjoys reading, travel and gardening.
